I. Program Overview
Guanghua School of Management pioneered the EMBA degree program among national universities of China in 1999. Adhering to Peking University's spirit of "independent thinking and inclusiveness," and Guanghua's mission to "advance management knowledge, cultivate business leaders, accelerate social progress”, Guanghua EMBA program aims to cultivate socially responsible industry leaders. The program helps them enhance leadership and innovation capabilities, understand industry trends, and lead the enterprises to make continuous progress in economic transformation, from "big" to "great".
II. Program Advantages
Scientific Thinking, Truth-seeking and pragmatic
Scientific thinking is based on solid academic research. The Guanghua EMBA program nurtures the spirit of scientific inquiry with the latest academic achievements, focusing on the Chinese economy and business practices, thus helping entrepreneurs make informed decisions in the new business environment.

III. Program Objectives
The program aims to cultivate moral and law-abiding business leaders with strong innovation and leadership skills. To help them become entrepreneurs and senior professional managers who master the systematic knowledge of modern management and the latest trends of international economic and technological development, adapt to the needs of international competition, and have the strategic mind of international business and the ability to overall decision-making.
IV. Program Format
Duration: 2 years
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Guanghua School of Management, Peking University
Schedule: Required courses: every two months for five to six days (Guanghua-Kellogg English-taught EMBA); every month for four days (Chinese-taught EMBA); elective courses are arranged according to the duration of class hours.
Language of Instruction: English/Chinese
Tuition Fees:
Guanghua-Kellogg English-taught EMBA: RMB 728,000 plus USD 50,000
Chinese-taught EMBA: RMB 828,000.
V. Degrees and Certificates
Upon completion of all courses and successful thesis defense, students will receive a master's graduation certificate and degree certificate from Peking University.
Additionally, Guanghua-Kellogg English-taught EMBA students will receive a joint master's degree certificate issued by Peking University and Northwestern University.
VI. Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Non-Chinese Citizenship: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. Residents of the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan who have emigrated to another country and are applying to Peking University as international students must present valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30, 2019, along with proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
Note: The exit and entry administration authority of the public security organ of China reserves the right to judge whether an applicant still has Chinese nationality. If during the application period or even after the admission or registration the applicant is judged to be still holding Chinese nationality, his/her application, admission, registration or even enrollment will be nullified.
2. Health and Conduct: Applicants should be healthy, both physically and psychologically, with no criminal record, and must abide by the laws and decrees of China and the regulations of Peking University.
3. Academic Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by Ministry of Education of China (Grade skipping or joining in the middle of the course is not permitted), with eight or more years of full-time work experience, including at least five years in a managerial position, current middle and senior management personnel in enterprises
4. Academic Achievements: Applicants’ academic performance, academic level and language ability should meet the admission requirements of the applied program.
VII. Application Process
1. Applicants should visit the Guanghua EMBA program website to apply for an interview (https://www.gsm.pku.edu.cn/emba/index.htm). Alternatively, reach out to the program admissions office at 86-10-62747151/8 to learn more about the program.
2. Online Application for International Students at Peking University:
1) Applicants should visit the International Student Service System (http://www.studyatpku.com)and complete the online application before April 20, 2025. Attach a 2-inch full-faced photo on the printed application form.
2) Original graduation and degree certificates and degree authentication report in Chinese or English.
For degree certificates in other languages, applicants are required to upload both the original copy and a notarized copy in Chinese or English. Degree diplomas awarded by overseas universities must be authenticated by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, Ministry of Education, P. R. China (CSCSE). Degree diplomas awarded by universities in the Chinese mainland must be authenticated by the Center for Student Services and Development, Ministry of Education, P. R. China (CSSD).
3) Original or notarized copy of official transcripts from the graduating institution, in Chinese or English.
4) Original personal statement.
A brief introduction of personal academic background and focus on the research plan during the postgraduate study in the teaching language of the applied program, about 1500 words. Download the template at /down/shen/ru.html.
5) CV and commitment letter.

6) Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors related to the applicant's major (or equivalent professionals with relevant academic title), either in Chinese or English. Once applicants submit a request, the application system will send a link to the recommenders, and the recommenders should click the link and complete the recommendation either by filling out the form online or by uploading the scanned copy of the signed letter. 7)Original Chinese or English language test scores.
7.1) Applicants who apply for the Chinese-taught EMBA program should submit scores that meet the following standards or other relevant proof of Chinese proficiency. Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 6 score of 210 or above, writing score of not less than 65
Note: Those who take the new HSK7-9 examination can submit the corresponding qualified score report.
7.2) For Guanghua-Kellogg English-taught EMBA program, applicants whose mother tongue is not English are required to submit TOEFL (iBT, 100 points or above), IELTS Academic (7 points or above) or Duolingo (130 points or above) transcripts or other proof of their English proficiency.
8) Passport information page. The passport's date of expiry should be after December 2025.
9) Other supporting materials. Table of contents and abstracts of the applicant's academic publications and any other original achievements in his/her field (if applicable)
Note: Applicants should scan the original or notarized application documents in color using a scanner. Images captured by mobile phone or camera are NOT acceptable.
3. Preliminary Review:
The admissions committee, composed of professors from Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, will conduct a preliminary review of the applicants' educational background, majors, academic levels, morality, and development potential in the applied field based on all the materials submitted by the applicants, and selects those who will be eligible for the interview.
4. Second-Round Evaluation:
The second round of evaluation is conducted through an interview. It focuses on assessing candidates' political awareness, management experience, overall quality, and development potential, which are essential qualities for outstanding.
5. Admission:
According to the results of the second-round evaluation, the pre-admission decision will be determined based on the comprehensive review by the Admission Office of the Graduate School, and will be publicized on the official website.
The pre-admitted candidates should download and print the application form, together with other required original application documents (except for degree diploma and recommendation letters), then deliver or mail the materials to the EMBA office, Guanghua School of Management, Peking University.
